Amistad Exhibition Virtual Tours

3D virtual tours let visitors explore museum galleries online in an immersive, interactive format. High-resolution imaging recreates the space, allowing viewers to move through exhibitions, zoom into works, and read labels from anywhere.

For museums, these tours expand access, remove physical and geographic barriers, and preserve exhibitions after they close. They support education, research, and audience engagement, and encourage new visitors by offering a welcoming preview of the museum experience.

Highlights from the Diaspora

Featuring objects from the permanent collections of The Amistad Center and Wadsworth Atheneum, we are investigating the Afro-American landscape by highlighting specific moments in the historical canon. Moody and challenging, this installation urges viewers to consider the remarkable agency of Black Americans in response to cruelty, from the transatlantic slave trade to the great migration. Together these works make visible issues of Black bodily labor, oppressive systems, and the contemporary American economy.
