Phillip Albert, originally from New Roads, LA, has a distinguished career in museum management and financial leadership. As the youngest African American Appointed Official for the Louisiana State Museum system, he developed expertise in fiscal guidance, collections management, and preserving cultural heritage. With a degree in Business from Southern University, Phillip has managed large financial portfolios, worked with philanthropic foundations, and contributed to local and state policy. His dedication to community engagement and advancing cultural institutions led him to the Amistad Center.
